My goodness, but it certainly is hot! I hope you all are managing to stay cool and hydrated in this Indian summer; I know our neighbors are spending nearly all their time down at the pool, and I can't blame them! But we're coming up on September soon, so just hang tight, folks. We'll be in cooler autumn weather in no time.
In happier news, I hope you're all looking forward to the debutante ball this Friday! It's quite an event, so even if you're daughter isn't old enough to debut this year, please don't hesitate to come for the ceremony and the ball. There is a small fee for non-debuting guests, but once you get inside and see all the trappings we've set up for you, you'll forget about that little detail! And I do say we, because I've been fortunate enough to be invited to perform as Mistress of the Ropes at this year's annual debutante ball, as a former pupil of Miss Littleton's. I'm looking forward to meeting and working with all of you, girls! It's so exciting!
Lastly, to help you all forget about this heat for a short while, the Mayor's office is holding a little barbecue next Wednesday evening. All of you Uptown residents near Arden Park, please drop on by!

I would like to personally extend my condolences to all those affected by the recent tragedy in the suburbs. We never expect such things to hit so close to home, and I Mayor Va if there's anything I or the Mayor's office can do to help in this time of grief, please do not hesitate to contact us. You can rest assured the police force is avidly looking into this case, and we'll get to the heart of it soon.

Hello again, all! As you've undoubtedly seen, election season is beginning in earnest! Time to dust off those topical caps and stay tuned to C83: our mayoral candidates have some exciting new campaign policies in store for this election season, not the least of which is Uptown's own Mayor Vaugn. In fact, His Honor is hoping to help all the central boroughs this term, so you suburbanites needn't worry about missing out on any of the opportunities the Vaughn office presents. Elections are coming up in just a short six months, folks; make sure to stay on top of the news for the campaign trail!

Good afternoon, all! The Mayor's office wishes you a fantastic beginning to summer. It looks like we're already hitting those June highs! I hope you're all keeping an eye on C83 for forecast changes; you never know when those May showers will come down!
On behalf of Mayor Vaughn and to celebrate the lovely weather, we want to invite all you Uptowners to a grand old barbecue this Saturday in Bay Ridge--all the old fashioned burgers and coleslaw you can eat. Admission is $6.00 to cover the price of food and festivities, but don't worry, it's well worth it! We've arranged for all sorts of entertainment for you: jugglers, musicians, a concert in the park, and any number of other things for the whole afternon. So bring your brothers, sisters, wives, children, anyone with a free afternoon and an inkling to celebrate our spring holidays. You won't be disappointed!
